Recently, Mr. Liu Zheng, a young faculty member from the School of Chemistry and Materials Science at our university, published a research paper titled "Synergistic Effect of Dual-functional Groups in MOF-modified Separators for Efficient Lithium-ion Transport and Polysulfide Management of Lithium-sulfur Batteries" in the journalAdvanced Science. By introducing dual-functional groups (-NH2 and -SO3H) into metal-organic frameworks (MOFs), the study constructed a novel separator modification layer, significantly enhancing the cycling stability and rate performance of lithium-sulfur batteries. The research systematically revealed the synergistic mechanism in suppressing polysulfide shuttling and promoting selective lithium-ion transport.
