On September 10, the team led by Professor Tao Jun from College of Horticulture and Landscape Architecture published a paper with the title of PlWRKY47 coordinates with cytosolic glyceraldehyde-3-phosphate dehydrogenase 2 gene to improve thermotolerance through inhibiting reactive oxygen species generation in herbaceous peony in Plant, Cell & Environment. This study revealed the molecular mechanism by which the PlWRKY47-PlGAPC2 module inhibits the production of reactive oxygen species ( ROS ) by increasing the content of oxidized nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide ( NAD + ), thereby improving the high temperature resistance of Paeonia lactiflora.
