On 22 May, Professor Song Chengyi's team published a research paper entitled "A Naturally Active Spy Transposon Discovered from the Insect Genome of Colletes gigas as a Promising Novel Gene Transfer Tool" online in Advanced Science. A highly active DNA transposon cgSpy with application prospects in the field of gene therapy was obtained, which is expected to provide a new and efficient delivery vector for gene and cell therapy of human cancer and immune diseases.
