On May 11, a research paper entitled“R2R3-MYB transcription factor CsMYB60 controls mature skin fruit color by regulating flavonoid accumulation in cucumber”was published online in The Plant Journal. This paper was created by the Cucumber Genetic Breeding and Molecular Biology Innovation Team of College of Horticulture and Landscape Architecture.This study is the first map-based cloning of a gene that controls the color of mature cucumber peel, and analyzes its molecular mechanism of regulating the content of flavonoids in the peel to make the mature fruit show rich colors.
