On June 5, YZU hosted the International Conference on Nucleic Acids and Cell Fate Regulation.YZU President Liu Qiaoquan attended and delivered the opening address, while Vice President Gong Weijuan was also present.
Liu Qiaoquan pointed out that YZU as a multidisciplinary comprehensive university had long focused on the broad field of life sciences, and the discipline integration of medicine, biology and engineering, making it possible to build a high-quality, integrated life sciences cluster with the vision of “One World, One Health” in the progress of YZU medical disciplines. He believed that the conference would greatly contribute to international scientific research cooperation, disease prevention & treatment, interdisciplinary convergence, and the translation of research findings into clinical practice in the field of life sciences.
Centered on the theme “Nucleic Acids and Cell Fate Regulation”, the conference featured keynote presentations by 11 distinguished scholars from institutions including Baylor College of Medicine (USA), Tsinghua University, Zhejiang University, Xiangya Hospital of Central South University, and East China Normal University. Participating scholars engaged in in-depth discussions and exchanges on critical scientific issues such as the clinical applications of proteomics, mechanisms of cellular metabolism and aging, and the pathogenesis of tumors.
More than 150 Representatives from YZU President Office, Health Science Center, Medical College, School of Nursing (School of Public Health) were in attendance.
