On April 10, a delegation led by Dina D’Ayala, the UNESCO Chair on Disaster Risk Reduction and Resilience Engineering(DRR & RE) , University College London Professor of Structural Engineering within the Department of Civil, Environmental and Geomatic Engineering visited YZU. YZU President Liu Qiaoquan met with the delegation with Vice President Cai Yingwei in reception.Liu Qiaoquan introduced YZU’s development, discipline construction, exchanges and cooperation between YZU and British institutions of higher education. Liu Qiaoquan put forward that both sides had great potential for cooperation in education and S&T innovation of DRR & RE. He expressed his willingness to deepen cooperation in different fields, promote joint research on canal cultural heritage protection, and make more efforts in faculty & staff and student exchanges.Dina D’Ayala agreed that both sides should grasp this opportunity to deepen cooperation in S&T innovation and personnel exchanges in the field of DRR & RE in an active way.Representatives from President Office, Science and Technology Division, Human Resources Office, International Office, College of Architectural Science and Engineering were in attendance.
