On March 21, a delegation led by Petersson Crippa da Silva, Mayor of Laguna City in Santa Catarina, Brazil, and Dr. Sérgio Henrique Pezzin, Vice president of Santa Catarina State University visited YZU. The delegation was welcomed by YZU President Liu Qiaoquan, with Vice President Cai Yingwei in reception‌.

Liu Qiaoquan extended a warm welcome to the delegation. He briefly introduced YZU’s development as well as exchanges with higher education institutions in Brazil. President Liu Qiaoquan put forward that China and Brazil had deepened friendly and mutually beneficial cooperation under the strategic guidance of the two nations’leaders, still having significant cooperation potential in the field of education, and S&T innovation‌.

Silva expressed his willingness to cooperate with YZU in the area of S&T innovation and personnel exchanges, further strengthening ties between Chinese and Brazilian universities and research institutions‌.

Representatives from President Office, Graduate School, Science and Technology Division, International Office, School of Physical Science and Technology, College of Hydraulic Science and Engineering, College of Electrical, Energy and Power Engineering, College of Environmental Science and Engineering, and Agricultural College were in attendance.
