On March 18, a delegation led by Minnikhanov Rais Nurgalievicha, Chief Executive of the Sabinsky Municipal District Administration and Chairman of the Sabinsky Municipal District Council of the Republic of Tatarstan, Russia, visited Yangzhou University(YZU). President Liu Qiaoquan met with the guests, and Vice President Cai Yingwei attended the meeting.

Liu Qiaoquan extended a warm welcome to the delegation. He emphasized that YZU would leverage its disciplinary strengths in biotechnology, plant breeding, and other fields, as well as platforms such as the University Science Park, Modern Agricultural Science and Education Demonstration Zone, and Seed Innovation Research Institute, to strengthen strategic communication with higher education institutions and research organizations in Sabinsky Municipal District. The goal is to deepen practical cooperation in talent cultivation, joint research, and technology transfer.

Minnikhanov expressed that the Sabinsky Municipal District is willing to actively promote in-depth collaboration between the two sides in scientific innovation and personnel exchanges, exploring innovative applications of emerging technologies in the field of biotechnology after this visit.

Representatives from President Office, International Office, Office of Social Cooperation, Agricultural College, College of Horticulture and Landscape Architecture, College of Bioscience and Biotechnology, and College for Overseas Education were in attendance.
