The 11th YZU International Young Scholar Forum was held From November 22 to 24. Jiao Xin’an, Secretary of the CPC Yangzhou University Committee, delivered a speech. President Ding Jianning made a keynote report. Zhou Rujun, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Yangzhou University Committee, presided over the opening ceremony. Qiu Qingfeng, Secretary of the Commission for Discipline Inspection, attended the forum.
Jiao Xin’an warmly welcomed the young scholars. He pointed out that talents are the future, and the university is more eager for talents than ever before. He said that YZU will definitely help young scholars grow with better remuneration, better development space and better professional environment.
In the keynote report, President Ding Jianning emphasized that the construction of talent team is the basis of a strengthening university, the foundation of competition, and the key to development. He sincerely invited the young talents to be part of Yangzhou University to further create brilliant achievements together.
During the forum, 29 sub-forums were held in the colleges. The participating scholars conducted in-depth exchanges and discussions with faculties and students on international academic frontiers and hot issues in their respective fields.
This forum is simultaneously held online and offline, which is transmitted live across the globe. A total of 108 young scholars from 16 countries and regions around the world, members of the leading group of school talent work, heads of colleges ( research institutes ) and departments, and representatives of high-level talents of the university attended this event.
