From August 28 to 31, the 2024 World Junior Chef Battle was held in Bangkok, Thailand. The team led by School of Tourism and Cuisine of Yangzhou University representing China won two gold medals in “Yangzhou Fried Rice” and “Pho Bo”, and the team bronze medal.
The competition held at the Phenix Wholesale Foods Centre, a world-class centre of cuisine, is certified by World Association of Chefs’ Societies (WACS), and hosted by Thai Chefs Association. 48 junior chefs of 16 teams from China, Thailand, the United States, Australia, Greece, Cambodia, Vietnam, Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia, Switzerland, South Korea, and Mongolia participated in the competition.
