On April 29, the delegation led by Silvana Alcoz, expert from the World Meteorological Organization (WMO), visited Yangzhou University. President Ding Jianning met with the guests.
At the meeting, Ding Jianning pointed out that Yangzhou University will continue to progress in hydrology, by broadening the training fields, improving the service capacity, building a high-level training management system, strengthening its international cooperation and exchanges, and magnifying the effect of "training +", so as to make greater contributions to the education and training of global hydrological personnel.
Silvana Alcoz appreciated the achievements of Yangzhou University in the field of hydrological training, and hoped that Yangzhou University would actively give full play to the merits of its disciplines, strengthen the exchange of international training experience and mutual understanding, and deepen the solid cooperation with WMO in the areas of personnel training, scientific research, standard-setting, and the transformation of results.
Heads of the International Training Department of the China Meteorological Administration (CMA) Training Centre (CMA Foreign Affairs Service Center), Nanjing Automation Institute of Water Conservancy and Hydrology, Ministry of Water Resources, as well as colleagues from President Office, International Office, College of International Studies, College of Hydraulic Science and Engineering, and College for Overseas Education of Yangzhou University participated in the meeting.
