Foreign journalists visit Yangzhou University's School of Tourism and Culinary Arts

On Oct 24, a group of foreign journalists explored the School of Tourism and Culinary Arts at Yangzhou University in Yangzhou, East China's Jiangsu province.

During their visit, the journalists watched a live teaching session where the school's teachers shared their expertise in creating traditional Chinese dishes such as meatballs, including beef meatballs and fish meatballs.

Fan Haoran, a teacher at the school, also gave a cooking demonstration where he guided the students through the process of preparing stir-fried pork with green peppers. The foreign journalists were delighted about the chance to participate in the cooking class and savor traditional Chinese cuisine.

Yangzhou University's School of Tourism and Culinary Arts was established in 1983. Over the years, the school has become one of China's leading institutions in the field of culinary arts, said Meng Xiangren, deputy head of the school.
