On October 21, a delegation of prestigious universities in Central and Eastern European countries visited Yangzhou University. Vice president Gong Weijuan met with guests.

Gong Weijuan introduced our history, personnel training, discipline construction, scientific research as well as international cooperation and exchange. She also reviewed the history and effectiveness of cooperation and exchange with Central and Eastern European universities. She pointed out that we will further strengthen cooperation with universities and research institutions in Central and Eastern European countries based on the discipline advantages and characteristics and plan well the key areas and methods of cooperation. We will deepen joint scientific research, build various forms of international cooperation platforms, and promote the deepening of international industry-university-research cooperation; expand the scale of faculty-student exchanges, establish long-term cooperation mechanisms such as joint training of students and mutual visits of faculties, and enhance the activity of international cooperation and exchanges between the two sides.

Aleksandar Ostojić, Executive President of propn University of Banja Luka, highly appreciated the scientific research and personnel training in the fields of agricultural science and technology, mechanical engineering, new energy and materials. He pointed out that the delegation will actively promote more solid cooperation between prestigious universities in Central and Eastern European countries and Yangzhou University.

Representatives of universities, scientific research institutions and enterprises from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Romania and other countries, heads of provincial science and technology department, provincial foreign science and technology exchange center, municipal science and technology bureau, China Central and Eastern European National Innovation Cooperation Research Center and other units, heads of Science and Technology Division, International Office, School of Mechanical Engineering and Agricultural College from Yangzhou University participated in the meeting.
