From September 25 to 29, the delegation led by vice president Jiang Naihua visited the UK and Ireland, holding friendly talks and in-depth exchanges with four universities, including the Keele University, Queen 's University Belfast, University College Cork and University College Dublin, thus reaching cooperative consensus.
During the visit, the delegation thoroughly discussed with the four universities on comprehensively strengthening intercollegiate cooperation. In terms of innovating cooperation models and expanding cooperation breadth and depth, we have reached a high degree of consensus, signed a memorandum of understanding with Queen 's University Belfast and explored the practice of further improving the quality and efficiency of exchange projects for students. The details of joint training and short-term exchange projects for students majoring in economics, finance, business administration, accounting, horticulture, facility agricultural science and engineering were discussed in detail. In addition, we reached the intention of renewing the 3 + 1 + 1 joint training project agreement with the University College Dublin, University College Cork, and the Keele University, signing the short-term project cooperation agreement and carrying out cooperation in nursing specialty. All sides agreed to boost the mutual visits of faculties in business, horticulture, pharmacy, nursing, biomedicine and other fields, and to develop cooperation in advanced study, academic visit and exchange, short-term teaching and joint scientific research. Furthermore, we shared the experience and practice of information service, smart campus construction and management.
On September 28, the delegation held a seminar on the recruitment of overseas high-level talents of Yangzhou University and the exchange of talents between Yangzhou University and University College Cork in Cork City, Ireland. On the seminar, we introduced our development status and talent policy, and responded to the issues of concern from the participants. Nearly 40 doctoral students and postdoctoral researchers from University College Cork participated in the event.
Representatives from Office of Information Construction and Administration, International Office, College of Horticulture and Landscape Architecture and Business School accompanied the visit.
