On July 4, Jiangsu-ROK universities consortium preparatory work meeting was held in our university. President Ding Jianning attended the meeting and delivered a welcome speech.

President Ding introduced our general situation as well as the international exchange and cooperation with Korean universities. He pointed that it is our common aspiration to better develop the Jiangsu-ROK Universities Cooperation Alliance and make common development and shared growth in various fields shared by both sides. President Ding indicated that we are willing to establish a platform to expand the cooperation and deepen higher education between China and ROK, implement the vision of " community with a shared future for mankind " with member universities, jointly promote the construction of the alliance to a new level, and make greater contributions to the high-quality development of higher education in the two countries.

The director of Yangzhou Science and Technology Bureau made a thematic report on the construction of a famous industrial city with scientific and technological innovation and its policy system. The heads of the International Office, School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, Information Engineering College, Medical College and College for Overseas Education of our university delivered speeches respectively. Representatives had a heated discussion on the future construction of the alliance.

Representatives of universities from Jiangsu and ROK, director of Yangzhou Science and Technology Bureau, heads of School Office, Social Cooperation Office, International Office, School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, Information Engineering College, Medical College and College for Overseas Education of our university participated in the meeting.
