From July 18 to 19, the delegation from the state of Paraiba, Brazil visited our university. Jiao Xin 'an, the party secretary of the university, met with the guests. Vice President Wang Chengtang and Han Jie attended the event.

Jiao Xin 'an welcomed the delegation of Paraiba, and introduced our general situation and disciplinary features, as well as the international cooperation and exchanges with Brazilian universities. He hopes that the two sides actively implement the important consensus of the two heads of state, continue to promote the cooperation of BINGO project, and vigorously boost solid cooperation in higher education to reach more achievements, so as to make new contributions to China-Brazil strategic cooperation and the construction of a community with a shared future for mankind.

Antônio Fernandes Filho, President of the Federal University of Campina Grande, highly appreciates our support for the international cooperation of the BINGO project and endorses the cooperation proposal raised by Jiao Xin 'an. He pointed that Federal University of Campina Grande hopes for closer intercollegiate relationship with Yangzhou University, thereby strengthening the cooperation between two sides.

Representatives of universities, institutions and project teams including the Federal University of Campina Grande, the Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology of the State of Paraiba, the National Semi-Arid Research Institute of Brazil, the Brazilian Association for the Development of Science, and the BINGO Project, as well as the heads of Party Office, Science and Technology Office, International Office, School of Physical Science and Technology, Gravity and Cosmology Research Center, Agricultural College, College of Veterinary Medicine, School of Tourism and Cuisine, and College for Overseas Education participated in the meeting.
