On the afternoon of March 16, President Ding Jianning met with the president of Gezira University in Sudan, Salah Abak, and the president of the University of Al-Butana, Mohamed Jacob. President Ding signed memorandums of understanding with the two sides, accompanied by Vice President Han Jie and Director of Sudan Research Center Yu Hongliang.

President Ding warmly welcomed the delegation and introduced our general situation and disciplinary features. Ding pointed that China-Africa cooperation has a long history, and our university attaches great importance to carrying out all-round and multi-field cooperation and exchanges with African universities. Besides, we actively respond to the national Belt and Road initiative, and welcome more outstanding faculties and students from Sudan for further study and exchange.
