On May 22, President Ding Jianning met with former Secretary-General of the International Telecommunication Union Zhao Houlin.

President Ding introduced our historical evolution, disciplinary features, personnel training, research collaboration as well as the international cooperation and exchange to the guests. He hopes for more opportunities for students to practice and serve in international organizations, enabling more of them to become emissaries communicating China and abroad.

Zhao Houlin introduced his experience in international organizations and expressed his concern for our university. He hopes to learn more about the characteristics and advantages of our disciplines and put forward constructive suggestions for the future development after this visit.

The heads of Yangzhou Foreign Affairs Office, School Office, International Office, College of Humanities, School of Tourism and Cuisine participated in the meeting.
