Recently, the Ministry of Education has announced updates on the accreditation of undergraduate degree majors in colleges and universities across the country in 2021. Four new undergraduate degree programs of Yangzhou University were accredited, namely, facility agricultural science and engineering, electronic packaging technology, smart agriculture and veterinary public health. Yangzhou University demonstrates a capability for teaching and research in these academic disciplines, and to the use of results of actuarial research to continually inform teaching and assessment.

Facility agriculture science and engineering students mainly study the basic theory of biological environmental engineering, construction engineering and energy, with the basic knowledge of working in the township building, facility agriculture and rural energy construction, receive the basic training of construction engineers, agricultural biology environment and energy source engineer, with the basic ability of the professional construction project feasibility study, engineering planning and design, construction and operation management.

Electronic packaging is essentially a multidisciplinary technology with foundation that spreads across almost all scientific and engineering branches like physics, chemistry, materials, electrical, mechanical, and thermal engineering. The impact of this technology is widespread and affects industrial, business, consumer, automotive, and medical sectors.

Smart agriculture refers to the usage of technologies like Internet of Things, sensors, location systems, robots and artificial intelligence on the farm. The ultimate goal is increasing the quality and quantity of the crops while optimizing the human labor used.

Veterinary public health (VPH) is a component of public health that focuses on the application of veterinary science to protect and improve the physical, mental and social well-being of humans.
