On December 27th 2021, the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Industry & Information Technology jointly announced the first batch of 50 modern industry colleges at the national level. The Industry College of Intelligent Manufacturing and Equipment of YZU was successfully listed.

The Industry College of Intelligent Manufacturing and Equipment of YZU was founded in 2019, and was selected as a provincial key industry college in 2020. Guided towards the industry of intelligent manufacturing and equipment characterized by sheet metal processing, the College is jointly supported by Yangzhou University, Yangzhou Municipal Government, Jiangsu Yawei Machine Tool Co., Ltd. and other enterprises.

The College is dedicated to helping develop and shape an industrial strategy by providing critical thinking and expertise on a range of key policy areas, including productivity, supply chains, digital transformation, and skills development.
