On January 21, 2021, Clarivate Analytics’ Essential Science Indicators (ESI) updated its research disciplines rankings. According to the latest data, Yangzhou University’s (YZU) Biology & Biochemistry is the latest addition to the global top 1% list. Among the total 22 disciplines that the ESI ranks, YZU already has 8 disciplines among the ESI global top 1%, ranking 6th among universities in Jiangsu Province, and 44th among the top universities in the Chinese mainland. The 8 disciplines include Chemistry, Plant & Animal Science, Engineering, Agricultural Sciences, Clinical Medicine, Material Sciences, Computer Science, Biology & Biochemistry.
