Twenty Undergraduate Courses Selected among the First Batch of National First-class
YZU’s twenty undergraduate courses have been recognised by the Ministry of Education of China as the first batch of national first-class undergraduate courses, including 6 massive open online courses (MOOC), 5 simulations for laboratory-based courses, 5 face-to-face courses, 2 mixing online & offline courses, and 2 social practice courses.
Of the 3,560 courses across the country that made the list, 717 are online courses, 1464 face-to face courses, 327 simulations for laboratory-based courses, 868 mixing online & offline courses, and 184 social practice courses.
In recent years, Yangzhou University has made remarkable achievements in improving the quality of undergraduate education. Prof Yu Hongliang, vice president of YZU, believes that our collective understanding of competent, professional and effective teaching must continually evolve in order that it accurately reflects and continually responds to the contexts in which learning and teaching is undertaken.
