Three YZU Professors Named in 2020 Global List of Highly Cited Researchers
Three professors at Yangzhou University have been named to the 2020 Highly Cited Researchers list from Clarivate, the global analytics company.
The annual list identifies researchers who have demonstrated significant influence in their academic field or across several fields through the publication of multiple highly cited papers during the last decade. Their names are drawn from the publications that rank in the top 1% by citations for field and publication year in Clarivate’s Web of Science citation index.
The YZU professors on this year’s list include:
·Professor Liu Yurong, College of Mathematical Science (computer science)
·Professor Xue Huaiguo, College of Chemistry & Chemical Engineering (cross-field)
·Professor Pang Huan, College of Chemistry & Chemical Engineering (cross-field)
6,167 researchers around the globe, in 21 fields of sciences and social sciences, and in cross-field categories, were selected for the 2020 list, based on the number of highly cited papers they produced over an 11-year period from January 2009 to December 2019.
The methodology that determines the “who’s who” of influential researchers draws on the data and analysis performed by bibliometric experts and data scientists at the Institute for Scientific Information at Clarivate.
