On October 26^th, Yangzhou University successfully held the 4^th Joint Conference for Educational Cooperation of Jiangsu, Macao and Portuguese Speaking Countries, sponsored by the Jiangsu Education Department.

Over 50 delegates from mainland China, Macao and Portuguese-speaking countries participated in the conference. Faculty from Yangzhou University as well as eight other  universities from Jiangsu presented achievements in education internationalization.

Xu Zimin, Deputy Secretary of Education Work Committee under the CPC Jiangsu Provincial Committee, concluded that the achievements of cooperation between Jiangsu Education Services for International Exchange and Jiangsu Education Department have been fruitful and will continue with Macao and Portuguese-speaking countries., The participants will strive to build the work-net into an international brand for Jiangsu, Macao and Portuguese-speaking countries.

Later on the 29^th of October, delegates from the University of Zambeze, University of Évora and Polytechnic Institute of Bragança visited Yangzhou University. President Jiao Xin'an and Vice President Chen Guohong received them. During the meeting, delegates from the three universities presented their dominate academic disciplines and expectations for cooperation. After the reception, President Jiao Xin'an signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Nobre Roque dos Santos, President of University of Zambeze.
