36 Academic Subjects Enter the 2018 Shanghai Academic Ranking in China
On November 1st, Shanghai Ranking officially released its 2018 "Subject Ranking". Thirty-six academic subjects from YZU were on the list, six more than last year. The number of elected subjects ranked 26th in China, and 4th in Jiangsu Province. Among them, Veterinary Medicine ranked 3rd and Crop Science ranked 5th in China.
Shanghai Ranking is the issuing body of the Academic Ranking of World Universities (ARWU), the world’s most influential ranking of universities. All the data was provided by the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Science and Technology, the National Natural Science Foundation Committee, and the International and Domestic Documentation Database.
In 2018, eight subjects of YZU entered the national top 25%, while twenty-six entered the national top 50%.
