Brief Introduction

College of Law is located in the Lotus Pond Campus, adjacent to the beautiful Lotus Pond Garden of Yangzhou. The college has established five teaching and research offices including Jurisprudence, Constitution and Administrative Law; Criminal Law; Civil and Commercial Law and Economic Law; International Law and Procedure Law; as well as a comprehensive law laboratory and a law reference room.

The college has a well-educated teaching team with vigor and potential. At present, we have 37 professional teachers, including 8 Professors, 13 Associate Professors, and 12 Master Instructors.

The college has 583 full-time undergraduates and 110 postgraduates.

The college has established three university-level and two college-level research institutes. Two programs leading to Master’s Degree in Civil and Commercial Law as well as Constitution and Administrative Law are offered. In recent years, the college has undertaken nearly 40 research projects at or above the provincial level, there into, 4 are National Social Science Fund Projects and over 10 are provincial and ministerial level projects. Over 400 academic papers and over 10 monographs have been published. The college has also won many teaching and research awards of provincial and ministerial level.

With the joint efforts of the teaching staff, construction of Law Major has been developing rapidly in recent years. The college passed the Law Undergraduate Education Assessment of the Ministry of Education with honors in 2003, and it was assessed as the first batch of characteristic majors of Jiangsu province in 2006.
